On June 22, 2014 at approximately 07:15PM a vehicle driven by Daniel Patino-Baquero, 28, of Galloway was stopped in the Woodlands Development of Mays Landing by HTPD, for a traffic offense. A backup officer observed marijuana in plain view on the floor of the passenger's side of the vehicle, and Patino-Baquero was subsequently arrested.
HTPD Detectives prepared a search warrant for the vehicle which was granted by the Municipal Court Judge of the City of Ventnor, Honorable Judge Siracusa. The search yielded approximately 149 grams of marijuana as well as a digital scale and packaging consistent with that used to package and distribute marijuana. Patino-Baquero was additionally charged with 4th degree Possession of Marijuana and 3rd degree Possession of Marijuana with the Intent to Distribute. The charges were placed on a summons.
