On 11/28/2011, the Township of Hamilton Police Department responded to a residence on Park Road for an activated burglar alarm. Responding units located a suspicious male in the area who was identified as Timothy Keefe, age 24, of Mays Landing, NJ.
Investigation revealed that Keefe was going door to door in the neighborhood saying he was looking for work and money from residents. Keefe attempted to enter an unoccupied home and was thwarted by a burglar alarm.
Keefe was arrested and charged with Criminal Attempt Burglary. He was also charged for a previous unrelated theft on 10/7/2011 for a theft of two vehicles from Mays Landing, NJ.
Keefe was previously arrested on 9/22/2011 and charged with Impersonation and Theft after going door to door and seeking fraudulent donations for the military.
Keefe is currently lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility on $25,000 full cash bail set by MCJ HR Switzer. Anyone who may have had contact with Keefe or provided him with donations, please contact Detective Frank Schalek at 609-625-2700 Ext. 567.
