On 11/27/12 at approximately 6:27pm, Ofc. Train of the Township of Hamilton Police Department was finishing up handling a minor motor vehicle crash at the intersections of Rt 40 and Rt 606 near the Harding Lakes section in Mays Landing. While out of his patrol vehicle and handing one of the drivers back their documents, he was struck by a vehicle being driven by Roslyn Herron, 86 of Vineland. She had just begun to proceed on to Rt 40 from the stop sign at Rt 606 when her vehicle made contact with the back of Ofc. Train. He suffered what is believed to be minor injuries and was transported to Atlantic Care Hospital by Hamilton Twp. Rescue, where he was released later that night. Herron had minor damage to her vehicle, and received a summons for careless driving. This case is being investigated by Sgt. Prychka.
